Programming a Garage Door Remote:
Your garage door opener motor should have a “Learn” button. It is usually located near the antenna wire and may be labelled with a small LED light.
Press and release the “Learn” button. The LED light should begin to flash.
Press the button on the remote: Within 30 seconds of pressing the “Learn” button, press and hold the button on the remote that you want to program. Hold the button until the LED light on the motor blinks.
Test the remote: Test the remote to make sure it is working. Press the remote button at least five feet away from the garage door. The door should open or close.
Repeat for additional remotes: If you have more than one remote to program, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each remote.
Clear the memory: If you need to erase the memory of the garage door opener motor, press and hold the “Learn” button until the LED light turns off. This will erase all remotes from the system.
